General Electric VHF MVP APRS Digipeater

Here is an APRS digipeater made from a surplus $20.00 GE MVP mobile radio

This is the actual N4NEQ-3 Digi, which has been operating 100% flawlessly
at a 5000' North Carolina Site for 5 years.

This is a top view inside the MVP. The vertical bar down the center is the casting containing the five helical resonators. Properly tuned, these keep most "grunge" out of the receiver. The PA (Power Amplifier) is on the right side.
