BSRG News updated 12/29/00. Click on the Big Shanty Repeater Group link to view.

The Balloonatics link has the pictures from our recovery of the Nov 18, 2000 NASA Leonids Meteor Observation Balloon.

BSRG means Big Shanty Repeater Group. Located just Northwest of Atlanta, GA (Deep in the Heart of Dixie!!), the BSRG is the most progressive Ham Radio group that we know of. Find out for yourself!

The BSRG always retransmits the NASA Space Shuttle mission audio non-stop throughout each mission. We've been doing this since 1990. Our Shuttle audio transmissions (as well as the video feed the Atlanta Amateur Television Group provides) are a memorial to Tim Mallory, AI4B. Tim and Ralph (N4NEQ) had an idea years ago to provide this service to the Amateur community. Now we proudly present it as a tribute to Tim and his love of radio!

Other Important Home Pages that we host:

The Atlanta APRS Network, with info about APRS and its uses.

For Amateur Television information in the Atlanta area, its the Atlanta Amateur Television Group.

The Atlanta Balloonatics are a group of Ham Radio Operators who like to send radio and TV transmitters up to the edge of space on helium balloons. Visit our Home Page here (lots of pictures and other info).

Our FTP area has lots of files: APRS, GPS, Balloon Stuff and more.

BSRG welcomes Space Shuttle Audio listeners. We're glad you listen to our 24 hour Shuttle retransmissions. If you'd like to help support the Group that makes this possible, then click above to find out about the BSRG!

Thanks for stopping by, y'all come back real soon!
